The fine print, in plain words
Terms of service
Last updated: 6 August 2026
These are the terms for using Appointment Cat. They are written in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it the same way.
What Appointment Cat is
A self-serve booking service: you set up your services and working hours, share your booking link or QR code, and your clients book themselves in. It includes the surrounding tools — reminders, a walk-in queue, a client book, and a payments ledger.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in email accurate and your password to yourself — what happens under your account is your responsibility.
- One account per business is the intended shape; a person may run more than one business account.
- You must be able to enter into an agreement like this one (in most places that means being an adult).
Trial and pricing
Every account starts with a 14-day free trial with everything included. Paid plans are coming; until online payment is available, we will not cut you off without warning. Two promises: we will never charge you silently, and the price will always be shown to you before you pay anything.
Your clients’ data
The client details you keep in Appointment Cat are yours, handled as described in our privacy policy. By entering someone’s details, you are telling us you have the right to do so — clients who book themselves are giving their details directly. Treat their data the way you would want yours treated.
Fair use
You agree not to use Appointment Cat to:
- send spam or book appointments in bad faith,
- do anything illegal, deceptive, or harmful,
- probe, overload, or work around the service’s protections,
- collect other people’s data that isn’t yours to collect.
If an account abuses the service or endangers other accounts, we may suspend it — with notice, unless the situation makes that impossible.
What we promise — and what we can’t
We work to keep Appointment Cat fast, correct, and available, and your data backed up. But no online service can promise perfection: the service is provided as is, and we cannot accept liability for indirect losses — a missed appointment, a no-show, or business lost while the service was unavailable. If we were ever liable for something, our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem.
Leaving
You can stop using Appointment Cat at any time. Email us if you want your account and its data deleted — described in the privacy policy.
Changes and the law
If these terms change in a way that matters, account holders get an email before the change applies. These terms are governed by the law of Sri Lanka, where Appointment Cat is operated from.
